Mission Statement

The mission of the Richard J. Wilson Elementary School Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive, data-driven counseling program that supports the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. In alignment with our school’s commitment to inspire learning and achieve excellence in a positive and welcoming environment — and with Fort Worth ISD’s mission to prepare all students for success in college, career, and community leadership — we partner with families, staff, and the community to ensure equitable access to rigorous educational opportunities.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Richard J. Wilson Elementary School Counseling Program is that every student will graduate from FWISD equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindsets to excel in college, career, or military and community leadership. Our students will embody academic excellence, integrity, resilience, and respect for others, thriving in society. They will be lifelong learners who confidently pursue their passions, overcome challenges, and contribute positively to the world. We envision a school community where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to achieve their highest potential.
